tony gonzalez-3-831x1024Anthony David Gonzalez, born on 27 February 1976, is an ex-American football tightener who played for the National Football League (NFL) for 17 years. He is considered one of the top tight ends in history, and currently is the NFL's most efficient tight end when it comes to receiving yards and receptions for tight ends. Gonzalez is also ranked third in total receptions. Gonzalez spent his first 12 seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, who picked him in the first round of the 1997 NFL Draft. In the final five seasons that he was with the Atlanta Falcons. Since his retirement in 2013, Gonzalez has served as an analyst for football on NFL on Prime Video and was previously at CBS Sports and Fox Sports.Gonzalez finished his career with 14 Pro Bowl selections, the most of a tight-end and second most in league history and also received six All-Pros from the first team. Gonzalez is famous for his endurance and rare errors. He played for 272 regular season games, and only lost two fumbles on 1,327 touches. In the year 2019, he was admitted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
